It seems nowadays that a lot of
my clients have a Gmail account. It is usually a secondary account, they are
still using their existing @btinternet or @yahoo or @aol accounts but Gmail is
having a more active part more and more and as a rule is used with the web browser
I don’t mind admitting that I
find texting problematic. I sound like my dad now when he’d say that things
have been improved worse. A phone with real buttons was fine but I spend more
time trying to press the right keys and correcting them – and don’t get me
started about auto text!
I have been trying out Mighty Text,
it is a free add in for Google Chrome. You can get this at https://mightytext.net It seamlessly brings
your SMS messages to your desktop. It is super easy to use, the free version
has enough tools to make it worthwhile.
There is also an option to add
the tool to your Gmail email window. If you are signed in to Google Chrome and
Mighty Text you can run this plug in https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gtext-from-mightytext-sms/iffdacemhfpnchinokehhnppllonacfj
and restart Chrome. Your SMS messages are presented to you in the same window
as your Gmail. You can copy, paste forward as if the messages were all the
same. It synchronises both ways too, so you can see who is calling you from
your desktop, synchronise pictures check the battery levels
Rated 10/10 for me, easy to use, sensible, works, a great
productivity tool. As always your feedback is welcomed.
